The origin of the MonCasierFrais name sparks quite a bit of curiosity, since many people online have asked us to clear this up. We'll go over it briefly and explain our company's story.
Food lockers designed by their own operators
MonCasierFrais is a chilled locker provider born from recent shifts in how French consumers shop. In recent years, consumers have increasingly wanted to buy fresh products while cutting out intermediaries. There's a growing trend towards buying directly from the producer, in other words, through short supply chains.
On top of that, customers want to buy a product whenever they like. Ultimately, they're looking for greater flexibility in when they can buy their fresh products.
After 3 years spent in Research and Development (R&D), MonCasierFrais is proud to offer you its automated food vending solution, which answers these new consumption habits. But above all, our self-service lockers were designed for operators who didn't have the tools to meet their customers' demands. Designed in close collaboration with operators and experts, our chilled lockers can be controlled remotely thanks to the MonCasierFrais app.
Technical expertise behind our chilled cabinets
MonCasierFrais is, first and foremost, about providing chilled cabinets with an adjustable internal temperature. Do you have fresh products that need a precise, stable temperature? Enjoy cutting-edge technology:
- An operating temperature range of -20°C to 45°C, letting you sell in every season and climate;
- An internal locker temperature range adjustable between 0°C and 20°C, for selling both fresh and ambient-temperature products;
- A positive-temperature refrigeration system with 850W of power and hot-gas defrost;
- An anti-fog system so the contents of the self-service lockers are always visible.

Customising chilled vending machines to suit your trade
Most of our chilled locker operators work in hospitality and catering, farming, livestock rearing, or food trade crafts. Each of them needs efficient refrigeration to sell their products through a short supply chain, but they don't all have the same equipment needs, or the same budgets.
That's why MonCasierFrais's tech team has developed six types of chilled locker cabinets, each answering the real-world needs of a specific trade. So we have:

Self-ordering kiosk and Locker Management Application: a duo that works
At MonCasierFrais, our automated food vending machines run on a technological duo: the self-ordering kiosk on one side, and the Locker Management Application (which we've already covered) on the other.
The kiosk lets your customers buy the product they want, and also serves as your interface for controlling the chilled lockers when you're on site. Opening and closing compartments, or checking the information shown on the electronic shelf labels, it's all there.
Through the app, you track key information remotely:
- The temperature inside the automated lockers.
- The contents of each module: filled or empty (after a product is bought).
- Sales summary tables.
- The details of every product sold.
Technology watch and updates at MonCasierFrais
Technological innovation is the starting point of our project. We make sure to take our clients' feedback on board to continuously update our food lockers.
Electronic shelf labels were rolled out in September 2024 to make it easier for operators to restock compartments. At a glance, customers also get access to all the basic product information: price, weight/quantity, best-before date.
In 2025, several major innovations were developed by our Tech team and rolled out across all our points of sale:
1. The conversion of competitors' chilled vending machines onto our software;
2. Our Click & Collect app, for placing personalised orders;
