Since its launch, MonCasierFrais has positioned itself as an innovative player in the world of short supply chains through chilled lockers. Our company's goal has always been clear: to give local producers the tools they need to sell their products effectively, by removing technical and logistical barriers. Following on from our analysis of the ideal locations for chilled lockers in France, we're taking you behind the scenes at MonCasierFrais today, to discover the history, challenges and innovations that drive us.
Discover our exclusive interview with our President & Operations Director, Gabriel Hunold. Speaking to Philippe from the channel DromeAdhere.tv, right inside our warehouse in the Drôme, we talk about short supply chains and MonCasierFrais.
A few words about DrômeAdhère.tv:

DrômeAdhère.tv is a web TV channel dedicated to promoting “eating locally” in the Drôme. Run by the association dromeadhere.media, this platform showcases local producers and short supply chain initiatives through more than 1,000 videos, including reports, interviews and features. The aim is to support local, healthy and sustainable food.
The DrômeAdhère association brings together around a hundred members, including many producers and short supply chain players, to fund these initiatives. They also offer practical tools, such as the “Je Consomme Local” app, which lets people follow local food news. DrômeAdhère.tv is also behind innovative projects like “Apérodrome”, a platform for ordering 100% local aperitif spreads, delivered to short supply chain collection points.
This web TV channel and its related projects aim to raise public awareness and boost the visibility of local producers, while encouraging more sustainable food practices.
The Origin of a Revolutionary Idea
It all began three years ago, when Gabriel Hunold, our President and Operations Director, was approached by a friend, Nicolas Drique, who had specialised in selling local products in the Paris region through chilled lockers. Nicolas was facing a critical problem. The established chilled locker solutions were expensive and didn't meet his standards for management, particularly when it came to software. Aware of this pressing need, Gabriel decided to take on the challenge with one mission: to create a high-performing solution that was more affordable and, above all, better suited to the needs of chilled locker producers and operators.
Cutting-Edge Technological Solutions
Technological innovation is at the heart of MonCasierFrais. From the outset, MonCasierFrais focused on developing robust, intuitive software, in collaboration with Antoine Crouillebois, a software development expert. This software lets our chilled lockers communicate easily with any website, making it easy to integrate with existing Click & Collect systems. But our vision doesn't stop there. By the end of the year, we plan to launch a new offer, giving our clients a turnkey e-commerce site to showcase their short supply chain products.
A Strategic Approach to Meeting Market Needs
At MonCasierFrais, we understand that every client is unique. That's why our offer goes beyond classic chilled lockers. We work closely with our clients to develop tailor-made solutions suited to their specific needs. For example, many clients in the catering sector use our lockers to offer ready-to-eat meals, strategically placed near industrial estates.
Every month, based on demand, we develop new software features that bring efficiency gains to all our chilled locker operators. This flexibility is a major asset, letting our clients maximise their sales while meeting consumer expectations.
Going to Market: Organic, Satisfying Growth
After more than two years of research and development, MonCasierFrais is now ready to launch fully onto the market. The satisfaction of our first clients and word of mouth play a crucial role in our growth. When we install a chilled locker in a new area, other local producers quickly take an interest, letting us expand our network. This strategy, combined with competitive pricing, has let us establish ourselves as a go-to solution for producers across France.
Reliable, Affordable Products
Our flagship product, a chilled locker unit with 24 compartments, has established itself as the best-seller in our range, since it's versatile and suited to most products. Designed to be both robust and easy to maintain, this unit is particularly valued for its ability to keep products at the ideal temperature, while offering an intuitive user interface.
In terms of pricing, we've deliberately chosen to position ourselves below our competitors, with entry-level locker pricing starting from €6,000 (self-ordering kiosk not included), making our solutions accessible to a wide range of producers.
Maintenance and Remote Management: Guaranteed Peace of Mind
Reliability is another key aspect of our offer. We designed our chilled lockers to need very little maintenance. Upkeep is comparable to that of a standard fridge. On top of that, our software enables full, effective remote management, detecting and resolving potential issues before the client even notices. This responsiveness ensures our chilled lockers stay operational at all times, giving our clients real peace of mind.
The Importance of Customer Satisfaction
In an uncertain economic climate, we remain convinced that the key to our success lies in our clients' satisfaction. Every day, we work to refine our solutions, carefully incorporating feedback from our users. This agile, client-centred approach lets us innovate quickly and respond effectively to market needs.

Conclusion: MonCasierFrais, a Trusted Partner for Short Supply Chains
In conclusion, MonCasierFrais has established itself as a trusted partner for producers looking to strengthen their presence in the short supply chain market. Thanks to our commitment to innovation, quality and customer satisfaction, we continue to develop solutions that make it easier to sell local products. All while meeting the demands of modern consumers and revitalising rural areas.
We look forward to continuing this journey with you, and to helping make short supply chains more accessible and effective.
